Why Tallow?

A traditional skincare ingredient rich in skin-supporting fatty acids that closely resemble the skin's natural barrier.

  • Supports the Skin Barrier: Rich in naturally occurring fatty acids that help replenish dry, compromised skin.
  • Melts Into Skin: Dense yet breathable, our whipped tallow softens with body heat and absorbs beautifully.
  • Enhanced With Botanicals: Every batch is slowly infused with herbs chosen to complement—not overpower—tallow's nourishing qualities.

NEW TO TALLOW? START SMALL.

Try a 1 oz jar for $19. A pea-sized amount is all you need, and one jar can last approximately 1–2 months with facial use.

The 3 step desert skin ritual: Cleanse. Hydrate. Seal.

Hydration and moisture aren't the same thing.

Mist skin with hydrosol first, then apply tallow while skin is slightly damp to help seal in moisture.

transparent sourcing

Know what's inside your jar and where it came from.

We believe knowing where your ingredients come from matters.

Our pasture-raised beef suet comes from California ranches. Organic jojoba oil is sourced from Arizona. Herbs arrive from small farms that share our respect for traditional growing practices. Each one is chosen with care, then slowly transformed into something meant to become part of your everyday ritual.

Meet The Maker

Hi, I'm Edina.

Some of my favorite moments happen outside—watching the desert turn gold at sunset, making coffee over a campfire, gathering herbs, or simply walking with my dog beneath wide-open skies.

Those moments taught me something I wanted my skincare to reflect: the best things are rarely rushed.

Every Ocasa formula is still crafted by hand using thoughtfully sourced ingredients, traditional herbal methods, and the belief that caring for your skin can be one of the simplest ways to care for yourself.

Welcome to my modern desert apothecary.

Every jar protects the desert

The landscapes that shaped Ocasa deserve our care, too. That's why 1% of every Ocasa tallow purchase helps support organizations working to protect the wildlife, wild burros, horses, and desert landscapes that continue to inspire our work.

Beyond the apothecary shelves

Ocasa began with handcrafted skincare, but our vision has always been bigger than one ingredient or one routine. Here you'll discover herbal remedies, botanical beauty, nourishing pantry staples, and thoughtful home goods from makers we know, trust, and use ourselves.
