Eileen and James, the co‑founders of Little Seed Farm, didn’t begin their lives anywhere near the fields they now tend. More than a decade ago, they were living in New York City, climbing the corporate ladder — James working as a financial analyst and Eileen designing fashion. They had reached the careers they once dreamed of, yet neither felt fulfilled. Weekends became the only bright spots, and Mondays carried a familiar heaviness many people know well.
Everything shifted after they read Michael Pollan’s The Omnivore’s Dilemma. The book opened their eyes to the environmental impact of everyday choices, sparking a deep curiosity about clean living and sustainable food systems. They began sourcing food locally, rethinking their habits, and replacing conventional skincare with simple products they made themselves.
They felt a growing pull to contribute to a more sustainable and humane future — they just didn’t yet know what form that contribution would take.
In search of clarity, they started volunteering on local farms practicing sustainable agriculture. What began as exploration quickly became passion. The idea of reconnecting with nature and starting a farm of their own grew from a distant dream into a calling they could no longer ignore. Eventually, they left the city behind.
Today, their farm runs on solar power, generating 100% of the electricity needed to produce their products and operate the business. Their humanely managed goat herd is believed to be the only fully grass‑fed commercial herd in the country. Through intensive rotational grazing on organically maintained pastures, they support the goats’ health holistically while restoring the land across their 84 acres.
The result is a landscape of thriving pastures and woodlands that sequester carbon, rebuild soil health, and nurture native biodiversity — a living example of regenerative farming in action.

Yes. Our deodorant is plastic-free, cruelty-free, Leaping Bunny certified, small batch, and made in the USA at Little Seed Farm. Each jar is handcrafted on our solar-powered farm in Tennessee using ethical sourcing and environmentally conscious practices. We also offer ajar return + refill program to reduce waste and close the loop.
Will I go through a detox period?
If you're switching from conventional antiperspirant, your body may need a few days to adjust as your sweat glands rebalance. A little patience goes a long way - our formula supports this transition with gentle, effective odor control. And because it’s baking soda–free, the adjustment is much less likely to cause irritation.
Does it stop sweating?
Not entirely - it’s not an antiperspirant. But the tapioca powder in our formula gently absorbs moisture, helping you stay dry and comfortable. Many customers who previously used clinical-strength antiperspirants find that, over time, their bodies begin to sweat less while using our formula - thanks to the body’s ability to self-regulate once aluminum is removed.
