Tallow has been used in traditional skin preparations for generations. Naturally rich in fatty acids, its lipid-rich composition makes it especially well suited to nourishing dry skin. It helps soften + condition while supporting the skin’s moisture barrier and reducing moisture loss—exactly what skin needs in dry, low-humidity climates.
Organic Arizona-grown Jojoba Oil
Jojoba is a lightweight liquid wax with a composition similar to skin’s natural sebum. It helps soften + condition without a heavy, greasy feel, making it well suited for dry, combination + blemish-prone skin.
Organic Raspberry Oil
Naturally rich in essential fatty acids, vitamin E + antioxidant plant compounds, red raspberry seed oil helps nourish, soften + support the skin’s moisture barrier. Its medium-weight feel makes it especially suited to dry + mature skin while helping skin appear smooth, supple + healthy-looking.

Does it contain lavender essential oil or fragrance?
No. Rather than scenting the formula with lavender fragrance or essential oil, we slowly infuse whole lavender into organic jojoba. The result is a naturally subtle botanical aroma—not the strong lavender scent you may expect from conventional lavender skincare.
Why do you infuse whole lavender instead of using essential oil?
Whole-plant infusion is one of the traditional herbal methods we use throughout our formulas. The lavender is slowly infused into jojoba before being blended with our hand-rendered tallow, allowing us to work with the botanical without relying on essential oil for fragrance.
Is this the best tallow for sensitive skin?
Lavender was created with dry + sensitive skin in mind and contains no added fragrance or essential oils. If you prefer the simplest formula possible, our Unscented Tallow may be an even better place to start.
What's the difference between Lavender + Unscented?
Both are made with dry + sensitive skin in mind. Unscented keeps things especially simple, while Lavender features a slow infusion of whole lavender + raspberry seed oil for a more botanical ritual.
Will it smell strongly like lavender?
No—and that's intentional. Because we use a whole-lavender infusion rather than lavender fragrance or essential oil, the natural aroma is much softer + more subtle.
When should I use it?
Morning or evening, but Lavender is especially lovely as the final step in your nighttime ritual. Mist clean skin with hydrosol, warm a pea-sized amount between your fingertips + gently press into damp skin.
