WHAT'S IN THE JAR
Tallow from California grass-fed cows
Tallow has been used in traditional skin preparations for generations. Naturally rich in fatty acids, its lipid-rich composition makes it especially well suited to nourishing dry skin. It helps soften + condition while supporting the skin’s moisture barrier and reducing moisture loss—exactly what skin needs in dry, low-humidity climates.
Organic Arizona-grown Jojoba Oil
Jojoba is a lightweight liquid wax with a composition similar to skin’s natural sebum. It helps soften + condition without a heavy, greasy feel, making it well suited for dry, combination + blemish-prone skin.
Organic Rosehip Oil
Naturally rich in linoleic + linolenic fatty acids, rosehip seed oil also contains beta-carotene and naturally occurring antioxidants. It helps nourish the skin’s moisture barrier while supporting a smoother, softer + more radiant-looking complexion.
Organic Hawaii-grown Vanilla
Naturally rich in antioxidant plant compounds, vanilla has long been valued for more than its warm aroma. Slowly infused as whole beans into jojoba, it brings a comforting botanical touch while helping nourish + soften dry, thirsty-looking skin.
NEW TO TALLOW? A few things you may be wondering before your first jar.
Will it smell like beef?
No. We slowly dry-render + triple-filter our tallow in small batches for a clean, neutral aroma. Any subtle scent you notice comes naturally from the botanicals infused into the formula.
Does it contain vanilla fragrance or essential oil?
No. Despite what you may see marketed as “vanilla essential oil,” true vanilla essential oil does not exist. Vanilla beans aren’t steam-distilled into an essential oil like lavender or peppermint. We work with the whole plant instead, slowly infusing Hawaiian vanilla beans into organic jojoba for their naturally warm, subtle aroma. No added fragrance.
Will it feel greasy?
A little goes a long way. Our tallow creams have a rich, buttery texture that melts into damp skin. Start with a pea-sized amount—using too much can leave more product sitting on the skin than you need.
How much should I use?
Just a pea-sized amount for the face + neck. Warm it between your fingertips, then gently press into slightly damp skin. With tallow, less really is more.
What’s the difference between the tallow creams?
They all begin with our hand-rendered grass-fed + grass-finished tallow, but each formula is paired with different botanical infusions + oils for different skin needs. Choose based on what your skin is asking for—from nourishment + soothing care to balance, radiance + renewal.
Can I use it morning + night?
Yes. Use it morning, evening, or whenever your skin needs extra nourishment. We especially love it as the final step of an evening ritual. Apply to slightly damp skin to help seal in hydration.
Why should I apply tallow to damp skin?
Tallow is water-free, so we recommend hydrating first. Mist freshly cleansed skin with a hydrosol, then press your tallow into slightly damp skin to help seal that hydration in.
