What is a hydrosol?
A hydrosol is an aromatic botanical water created during the steam distillation of plants. Ours is made from Bulgarian rose and offers a beautifully simple way to add lightweight, water-based hydration to your ritual.
Why should I use it before tallow?
Tallow is water-free, so we love applying it to slightly damp skin. Mist with Rose Hydrosol first to give your skin a layer of hydration, then apply your tallow to help seal that moisture in.
Is this the same as a toner?
You can use it in the toner step of your ritual, but we think of it primarily as hydration. Mist after cleansing to leave skin lightly damp + ready for whatever comes next.
Can I use it throughout the day?
Yes. Mist whenever your skin feels like it could use a little refresh—especially in dry, heated, air-conditioned or low-humidity environments.
Is the rose scent added?
No added rose fragrance. Its delicate botanical aroma comes naturally from the Bulgarian roses.
Can I use it without tallow?
Absolutely. Use it on its own as a refreshing facial mist or before your favorite facial oil or moisturizer. For the full OCASA ritual, we recommend Cleanse → Hydrate → Seal.

This is so good I have two! One stays in the fridge, and the other in my purse. I like to use it on the go on busy days to not only keep me calm and grounded, but refreshed!

I honestly didn't think I would love this toner as much as I do. It's one of my top favorites! So very refreshing! I feel a noticeable tightness and glow after using. I love that it's in a spray bottle for zero contamination. Great product!
