How often should I use the Charcoal Cleanser?
Start with once daily, preferably in the evening, and adjust based on how your skin feels. If your skin begins feeling dry or tight, use it less frequently.
Will the charcoal dry out my skin?
The cleanser is formulated to give you that satisfying deep-clean feeling without leaving skin feeling unnecessarily stripped. Follow with your hydrosol + moisturizer while skin is still slightly damp.
Is it only for oily skin?
It's especially suited to oily, combination + congested skin, but you don't need to have oily skin everywhere to use it. Combination skin can use it as part of an evening cleansing ritual, too.
Why is it black?
That deep black color comes naturally from activated coconut charcoal.
What should I use after cleansing?
Mist your skin with Bulgarian Rose Hydrosol while it's still fresh from cleansing, then follow with your facial oil or OCASA tallow cream to nourish + seal in moisture.
Can it remove makeup?
It helps wash away makeup residue, excess oil + daily buildup. For heavier or waterproof makeup, use your usual makeup remover first, then follow with the Charcoal Cleanser. Avoid the eye area + do not use to remove eye makeup.
